The thing that decides it
Almost every deployment is designed around the first application and then extended to the rest. That is where the cost lands. Identification schemes that were adequate for one system produce incomparable data across four; segmentation built on attributes only one application exposes cannot follow a user into the next.
The platform choice matters less than whether the estate was planned for. But the platforms differ in how much they punish getting it wrong — and that difference is worth understanding before you sign.
Most WalkMe accounts start as one application and one team. The difficulty arrives at the third system, when identification and publishing standards that were never designed to scale start producing data nobody trusts.
Whatfix is quick to start with, which is its strength and its trap. Flows built before the content model is settled work fine at ten items and become unmanageable at two hundred.
